Wollastonite from Sterling Hill Mine in Ogdensburg, New Jersey is known
for its exceptional beauty under shortwave UV. It fluoresces yellow
or orange with a weak deep red fluorescence from calcite. When quickly
brought out from under ultraviolet light, wollastonite has a brief phosphorescence.
